Additional Notes
Attempted to use this antibody for P0-P1 neonatal mouse brain sections. Unfortunately, despite trying three different methods (without antigen retrieval, with antigen retrieval (base wash), with antigen retrieval (steam)), I was not able to get signal. (Based off of qRT-PCR data, there is transcription of ago2 in the regions of the brain that I'm interested in.)
Abcam response
Thank you for submitting the AbReview and your valuable feedback about the use of ab5072 in mouse. We have not tested the antibody in mammals yet and based on the researchers feedback, the antibody may not be suitable for mammals or the cross-reactivity may be batch-dependent. We recommend ab156870 for mouse, rat and human.
