    IHC-P: 1/25 - 1/50. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol. We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature.

      Defects in AMACR are the cause of alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase deficiency (AMACRD) [MIM:614307]. AMACRD results in elevated plasma concentrations of pristanic acid C27-bile-acid intermediates. It can be associated with polyneuropathy, retinitis pigmentosa, epilepsy.
      Defects in AMACR are the cause of congenital bile acid synthesis defect type 4 (CBAS4) [MIM:214950]; also known as cholestasis, intrahepatic, with defective conversion of trihydroxycoprostanic acid to cholic acid or trihydroxycoprostanic acid in bile. Clinical features include neonatal jaundice, intrahepatic cholestasis, bile duct deficiency and absence of cholic acid from bile.

      Dear Sir or Madam,

      I would like to order the following antibodies for the IHC-paraffin usage: anti-AMACR (ab12498), anti-androgen receptor (ab47569), anti-mitochondria (ab92824), anti-prostate specific antigen (ab403).

      We hope those antibodies could exclusively identify those biomarkers in human tumor samples instead of mouse tissue. In addition, we need 300 ug for each antibody. However, I don’t know the quantity in each vial for each antibody. Please send me the quotation of sufficient vials of antibodies based on the total quantity (300 ug) I request.

      If you have better choice about above antibodies such as more quantity for each vial, cheaper for similar quality of results, or higher specificity, I would appreciate your valuable suggestions.

      Thank you for contacting us.

      All of the antibodies you have chosen are appropriate for the experiments you are hoping to perform. All of the antibodies have been raised against the human protein but the cross reactivity with the mouse protein has not been ascertained and I cannot therefore say whether they will also be able to detect the mouse form of the protein.

      There are a few antibodies which may be worth considering as they may provide more experiments for the cost. All antibodies require optimisation before achieving the optimum results and it may therefore be that you will need to use more or less antibody than advised on the datasheets. The dilutions stated on the datasheets are guidelines only and will depend on a number of different factors.

      For the anti-AMACR antibody you may want to consider ab63340. This is amouse monoclonal, provided at a volume of 100 ul at the same price as ab12498 but has been shown to be usable at a dilution of1/500 to 1/2000 compared to 1/25 to 1/50 for ab12498 (500 uL provided).

      For the anti-Androgen Receptor antibody you may want to consider ab9474 (250 uL with a recommended dilution of 1/25-1/50). This should provide roughly the same number of experiments as ab47569 (100 uL with a recommended dilution of 1/50-1/100).

      For the anti-Mitochondria antibody, you may want to consider ab3298. This is provided at a volume of 500 uL with a recommended dilution of 1/500-1/1000 compared to ab92824 for which 100 uL is provided at a recommended dilution of 1/1000.

      For the anti-Prostate Specific Antigen antibody I was unable to identify another antibody which would provide you with more experiments.

From the details that I have I can tell you that this antibody was raised against full length P504S.
