Additional data
Additional Notes
Staining was highly nonspecific at dilutions of 1:200 or greater. Further dilution did not improve the signal to noise ratio. This staining was done in parallel with the Oct4 monoclonal antibody (ab181557) which worked well. Phalloidin (red), which labels F-actin was used as a counterstain.
Abcam response
Thank you for sharing this data with us. ab19857 has previously been shown to work well in IHC-Fr on genital ridges from E13.5 mouse embryos (please see image on datasheet). However, based on the data shown here, it seems that not all IHC protocols are equally suitable for ab19857. We would welcome feedback from other researchers using this antibody.
The reviewer received a reward from Abcam’s Loyalty Program in thanks for submitting this Abreview and for helping the scientific community make better-informed decisions.
