The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 70 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 70 kDa). Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
ZDHHC17 is a neuronal palmitoyl transferase. Palmitoylation is critical for trafficking and function of signaling molecules, neurotransmitter receptors, and synaptic scaffolding proteins in neurons.
ZDHHC17 causes cellular transformation. It has been shown that mRNA encoding ZDHHC17 is up-regulated in a number of types of human tumors, thus ZDHHC17 and other PATs (palmitoyl acyltransferases) are potential targets for new anticancer drugs.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human pineal tissue labelling ZDHHC17 with ab80886 at 1/100. A Cy3-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit IgG (1/200) was used as the secondary antibody. Positive staining shown in the cytoplasm of vesicles and processes of pinealocytes. Magnification: 20X. Exposure time: 0.5 - 2.0 seconds. Left - DAPI. Middle - ZDHHC17. Right - Merge.

Anti-ZDHHC17 antibody (ab80886) at 1 µg/ml (in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer) + HeLa cell lysate at 10 µg
