The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 2.5 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 23 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 23 kDa). Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Titre using peptide based assay: 1:62500.
Inhibits E-box-mediated binding and transactivation of bHLH factors. Inhibitory effect is similar to that of ID proteins. Inhibits the formation of TCF3 and MYOD1 homo- and heterodimers. Lacks DNA binding activity. Seems to play a role in the inhibition of myogenesis.
Expressed in liver, kidney and spleen.
Contains 1 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain.
Both the bHLH region and the C-terminal portion are essential for inhibitory function.
