The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
1/1000 - 1/5000. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
Use at 2-5 µg/mg of lysate.
1/2000 - 1/10000. Detects a band of approximately 123 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 123 kDa).
Not recommended for blotting crude sources of SMARCA1. ab72287 can be used for blotting enriched sources (e.g. immunoprecipitated and exogenously expressed) of SMARCA1.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. Members of this family have helicase and ATPase activities and are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human prostate carcinoma tissue labelling SMARCA1 with ab72287 at 1/5000 (0.2µg/ml). Detection: DAB.
Immunoprecipitation - SMARCA1 antibody (ab72287)
Detection of Human SMARCA1 by Immunoprecipitation from HeLa whole cell lysate, (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab72287 at 3µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1) and 1µg/ml for subsequent WB. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP.
