Lots # GR310924-1, GR296166-4, and GR296166-5 are sold in lyophilised form. To reconstitute, add 100 µl of deionized water and let the lyophilised antibody dissolve completely. The resulting concentration is 0.5 mg/ml. Slight turbidity may occur after reconstitution, which does not affect activity of the antibody. In this case clarify the solution by centrifugation.

ab14041, staining Periostin in Human breast carcinoma tissue by Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections).
Sections were acetone-fixed and blocked in normal serum. The sections were incubated with the primary antibody (for 1 hour at room temperature), followed by incubation with an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody for additional 30 minutes at room temperature. Diaminobenzidine (DAB) was used as a chromogen resulting in brown staining of positive cells. The nuclei were counterstained in using hematoxylin.
ICC/IF image of ab14041 stained HeLa cells. The cells were 100% methanol fixed (5 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab14041, 1/1000 dilution) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was Alexa Fluor® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/1000 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
