特異性ab64608 reacts with the cell nucleus and mitotic cell antigen (poles of the mitotic spindle and adjacent micotubules, centrosomes). It is possibly related to the NuMA protein. By Western blot this antibody recognizes a major band at 210kD, preferentially in mitotic cells (additional weaker bands at 240 and 180kD).

関連性The life cycle of a eukaryotic cell consists of various phases, two of which can easily be identified. Firstly, during mitosis (M-phase), in which the cell divides into two identical daughter cells, chromosome condensation and spindle formation are microscopically visible. Secondly, in S-phase the DNA of a cell is replicated, a process that can be detected using biochemical techniques.
