In preliminary western blot experiments ab114110 gave an ~150kDa band in Rat spinal cord and Mouse NIH3T3 lysates at 1ug/ml. This band was blocked by addition of the immunizing peptide. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 221kDa according to NP_033160.2.
Mouse, Rat 交差が予測される動物種:
, corresponding to internal sequence amino acids 471-484 of Mouse Nav1.8 (NP_033160.2).
Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA).
Use at an assay dependent concentration. Predicted molecular weight: 1 kDa.
Tetrodotoxin-resistant channel that mediates the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a sodium-selective channel through which sodium ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. Plays a role in neuropathic pain mechanisms.
Expressed in the dorsal root ganglia and sciatic nerve.
Episodic pain syndrome, familial, 2
Belongs to the sodium channel (TC 1.A.1.10) family. Nav1.8/SCN10A subfamily. Contains 1 IQ domain.
The sequence contains 4 internal repeats, each with 5 hydrophobic segments (S1,S2,S3,S5,S6) and one positively charged segment (S4). Segments S4 are probably the voltage-sensors and are characterized by a series of positively charged amino acids at every third position.
Ubiquitinated by NEDD4L; which promotes its endocytosis. Phosphorylation at Ser-1451 by PKC in a highly conserved cytoplasmic loop slows inactivation of the sodium channel and reduces peak sodium currents.
Cell membrane. It can be translocated to the cell membrane through association with S100A10.
