Abcam’s Soluble TNF Receptor I Monkey in vitro ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is designed for accurate quantitative measurement of Monkey Soluble TNF Receptor I concentrations in Cell culture supernatant and serum (baboon, cynomolgus).
Soluble TNF Receptor I specific antibody has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards and test samples are added to the wells along with an HRP-conjugated Soluble TNF Receptor I detection antibody and the microplate is then incubated at room temperature and unbound conjugates are then washed away using wash buffer. TMB is then added and catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that subsequently changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration is directly proportional to the Soluble TNF Receptor I amount of sample captured in plate.

The resulting death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation which initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis. Contributes to the induction of non-cytocidal TNF effects including anti-viral state and activation of the acid sphingomyelinase.
