Anti l/s Afadin specifically recognizes l afadin and s afadin by immunoblotting (approximately 200 and 190 kDa respectively).
Staining of the l/s afadin bands is specifically inhibited by the immunizing peptide.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.
Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
Shipped at 4°C. Store at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). Upon delivery aliquot. Store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
1/1000. Detects a band of approximately 200 (l), 190 (s) kDa.
Use at an assay dependent dilution.
Belongs to an adhesion system, probably together with the E-cadherin-catenin system, which plays a role in the organization of homotypic, interneuronal and heterotypic cell-cell adherens junctions (AJs). Nectin- and actin-filament-binding protein that connects nectin to the actin cytoskeleton.
Note=A chromosomal aberration involving MLLT4 is associated with acute leukemias. Translocation t(6;11)(q27;q23) with MLL/HRX. The result is a rogue activator protein.
