It is extremely important for the development and progress of science to understand the contents of published papers, repeat the experiments described, and conduct other research using those experiments as reference, but in recent years the following things have happened: It has been reported1 .
``Regardless of research field, journal impact factor, reporting requirements, or other submission criteria, 54% of published papers are buried in the crowd, unrecognized or unidentified.''
This means that researchers are likely to overlook papers they need for their research and the potentially useful experimental protocols they contain. This is unfortunate for both the researcher and the author of the paper.
To avoid this, Abcam has a team that searches for papers using our antibodies. The articles found are immediately listed on Abcam's website and product datasheets.
Still, there may be many papers around the world that even the Abcam team hasn't fully explored. In addition, there may be insufficient information about experimental protocols in the found papers, which may not be of much use to other researchers who wish to refer to the experiment.
If you have published a paper using an Abcam product, please send a PDF of your paper to Abcam's papers team at technical@abcam.com
When writing your paper, please also include the following items.
What is Abreview?
If you are submitting a paper using Abcam products, why not also submit it to Abreview? Abreview is a compilation of product-specific experiences, comments, and ratings of Abcam products from customers around the world. This information is posted on the website.
Anyone who posts an Abreview will receive Abpoints, Abcam's point system. Accumulated Abpoints can be redeemed for prizes.
