Are your antibodies MAP tested for in vivo use? Specifically, this product: Anti-C1q antibody (ab64632) |
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
Thank you for contacting us. None of our antibodies have been validated for in vivo or diagnostic use. This C1q antibody in particular (ab64632) contains sodium azide, which can be very toxic in vivo. I hope this helps, please let me know if you need any additional information. |

Anti-C1q antibody (ab64632) at 1 µg/ml + Plasma (Mouse) Tissue Lysate at 10 µg
Secondary
Goat polyclonal to Rabbit IgG - H&L - Pre-Adsorbed (HRP) at 1/3000 dilution
developed using the ECL technique
Performed under reducing conditions.
Predicted band size : 26 kDa
Observed band size : 36 + 33 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Exposure time : 12 minutes
The 33 kDa band observed is comparable to the molecular weight seen with other commercially available antibodies to Mouse Complement C1q subcomponent subunit A precursor.
C1q also contains a number of potential glycosylation sites (SwissProt) which may explain its migration at a higher molecular weight than predicted.
