Angiotensin II interacts with two types of G-protein coupled membrane receptors, AT-1 (type 1) and AT-2 (type2). AT-2 is a seven transmembrane domain G-protein coupled membrane receptor comprised of 363 aa. It is highly expressed in myometrium, with lower levels in adrenal and fallopian tube in rats. It is also expressed at high levels in fetal kidney and intestine.
